Opposition partisans interpret COMELEC ruling as license to not pay their taxes
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) ruled yesterday on the consolidated petitions of various groups to disqualify administration candidate Bongbong Marcos from running in the coming elections. The case could be appealed to the COMELEC en banc and, if required, up to the Supreme Court by these parties. Within an hour or two after the news broke, top media outlets were already broadcasting the response of the campaign team of Opposition “leader” Leni Robredo to this development.
