Gigantic monumental works of “art” have long been propaganda tools used by politicians and partisans to signal the fitness, virtue, and closeness to power structures and figures. Thus it comes as nothing unnatural to see large murals of Leni Robredo being commissioned to the “cause” of preventing the ascent to the presidency of “the son of the dictator”. There is also no shortage of volunteers who’d jump at the chance to display their abseiling prowess to execute these works.
