Following her security briefing with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) over the weekend (one which further exacerbated the rift between the Yellowtards and the communists) presidential candidate Leni Robredo reportedly noted that “the [AFP] may not be perfect but its independence as an institution is maintained.”
