What does a Marcos presidency mean for the Filipino people? Most Filipinos probably couldn't care less.

“Fuck it. I'm voting for Bongbong Marcos”. This is probably as much emotional investment in the elections applied by the average voter among the 31 million who gave a “resounding” mandate to the Second Marcos presidency that ascended power yesterday. What President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. perhaps missed out on reminding both himself and all his supporters is that this unprecedented mandate to lead is a humbling vote. This is, after all, a rare second chance given to a controversial political brand by the Filipino people.
