Dear GRP Insiders,
As December rolls in, beware the phrase “Merry Christmas”. In the Philippine setting, it is a veil that masks obvious agendas.

In review and in prospect
Word on the street is that even supporters of Opposition presidential candidate Leni Robredo are starting to be dismayed by the behaviour of some their own community members. Anecdotal evidence paints a picture of elevated elitist demeanor in the ranks and attitudes that hinder rather than contribute to efforts to further increase Robredo's voter base. The brewing discontent has led prominent journalist RG Cruz to capture its essence in a tweet…
This follows vicious infighting between Robredo's Yellowtard following and former allies among the communists. As it is turning out, Robredo's worst enemies are her own supporters.
At this point, whoever incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte endorses is irrelevant. This is now a contest — albeit a lopsided one — between the beleaguered Robredo and leading tandem Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte. The Yellowtards are running on empty and surviving on mere delusion. Their only hope lies on the multiple disqualification petitions they are lodging against Marcos. Tactics of a desperate and utterly defeated camp.
