No sooner had the news come out that Sara Duterte would be running for vice president under Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's Lakas-CMD party than another bomb dropped within the administration camp with Senator Bong Go withdrawing as vice presidential candidate for PDP-Laban and stepping up to be its presidential candidate. Shortly after that, the announcement came that President Rodrigo Duterte would run for vice president under the same party.
