Opposition campaign failing under the weight of unlearnt lessons
In the last day or two, Opposition presidential candidate Leni Robredo and a small handful of her supporters had been issuing calls to “forgive” and encourage “unity” among people “split by politics”. This likely comes as it becomes increasingly evident that Robredo’s bid for office is progressively being relegated to the margins of public consciousness — a mere sad footnote as talk surrounding the wranglings among admin bloc bets Bongbong Marcos, Sara Duterte, and President Rodrigo Duterte (okay, Bong Go merits an honourable mention here) grabs the lion’s share of the political chatter and media bandwidth.
