The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) was ready to air proceedings to review disqualification petitions against leading presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos. The proceedings were chaired by COMELEC Commisioner Rowena Guanzon who is known to be biased towards the camp of Opposition presidential candidate Leni Robredo who has made “preventing another Marcos presidency” a cornerstone of her campaign. As of this writing Marcos hasn't shown up and the way his absence was dealt with by Guanzon and COMELEC spokesperson James Jimenez revealed the true agenda of this exercise.
