There WILL be an opposition after May 9, but it won't be pink.
As reality sets in deeper into the Yellowtard campaign, there are no signs emerging yet as to whether the right people are thinking about what shape the opposition might take under a BBM presidency.
What next after Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte win these elections and become the Philippines’ president and vice president respectively? Specially now, thoughts surrounding this would be occupying more and more space in people's minds. None of the campaign spectacles staged by the Opposition — specially those surrounding their “leader” Leni Robredo — have delivered proven results as far as converting voters goes. And while Robredo's Yellowtard supporters have become just as good at convincing themselves there is hope of a “win” in May, the writing is on the wall. It's time for their lot to start thinking about what shape the Opposition might take over the next six years.
