Dear GRP Insiders,
Best that everyone sharpen their reading and comprehension skills before taking positions on important issues. The country will be a better place for democracy that way.

In review and in prospect
Last week saw the official kickoffs of the campaigns of candidates vying for various offices in this year's elections. Major parties and blocs held their respective proclamation rallies early in the week with each claiming to have won the numbers and the sentiment. Just yesterday, the “leading” Opposition bloc led by Leni Robredo held another “Pink Sunday” rally at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City and boasted a large crowd, this time with aerial photos to show.
Needless to say, the theme of Robredo’s campaign was represented very well by those who graced the occasion.
Interesting too was the timing of the release of the latest report on Pulse Asia's Pulso ng Bayan survey yesterday showing administration candidate Bongbong Marcos as being the preferred presidential candidate of 60 percent of survey respondents. Marcos’s running mate Sara Duterte also enjoyed the top spot in the survey with 50 percent of survey respondents preferring her for the vice presidency.
Last week’s junking of the disqualification petition against Marcos by the Commission on Elections’ (COMELEC's), leaves the Opposition not much choice but to campaign harder and, if even possible, smarter as Robredo suggests.
Presumably, Filipinos are holding their breaths in anticipation of evidence emerging that Robredo and the rest of the Opposition candidates actually have plans drawn up to do just that. Then again with the sorts of thinking being applied to the problem at hand, even that may be a bit too much to ask of the Yellowtards as this tweet issued by online “activist” and social media “expert” Jane Uymatiao shows.
As a great physicist once say, you can't solve a problem using the same thinking that created it.

"The notion that working stupid hours like that is something to be admired was created by all the two-bit 'activists' who propagate the idea that hard workers are anything special."

"In terms of production quality, scale of organisation, and overall pizzaz, the performance delivered by Team BBM-Duterte outclassed all the rest. As many in the audience observed, ABS-CBN star Toni Gonzaga was in her element as host of the event."
